Hopefully, by now you have heard at a show or seen on Instagram that we've officially welcomed a new third member on guitar, Audrey Neel! Audrey is in her fourth year of the ETSU Bluegrass program, and she just joined the Becky Buller band. She plays fiddle, alongside guitar, and has brought many wonderful songs to the band. Here is a clip of her original song, Seesaw, with the ETSU Pride Band:
We did a little Q&A with her so you can fill in some details, and be sure to come say hi to her at these summer shows!
Why did you start playing?
My dad and sister always competed in fiddle contests and was constantly around that scene. I would get on stage with her sawing on my Christmas tree ornament fiddle and pretend it was me competing.
Favorite flower?
Gerber Daisy.
Go-to post gig meal?
I love a good sweet treat, and will either always get a milkshake, froyo, or ice cream!
Funniest or best Wilder Flower memory so far?
Funny: anytime Molly gets iced milk and watching Madeline stress/grind on her final paper minutes before a show. Best: getting to meet the support and fans of the wilder flower at every show!
Very favorite song to sing?
Tie between Blue Kentucky Girl and Tennessee Waltz
If you played a genre and instrument that was totally different what would it be?
Pedal steel and old country music!
We are so excited to have her with us, and hope everyone will come meet her soon!
