October '25 News

Hi everyone, happy October! Madeline here writing from the grey, grey UK. It’s been a good minute since we’ve sent out a newsletter, making good on our promise not to spam your inboxes! We’ve had our busiest summer ever, touring 11 states: Tennessee, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Oregon, California, Montana, New York, and Massachusetts. We loved meeting people at shows and festivals along the way—shoutout to any new subscribers we met at those gigs! We’ll share plenty of photos below, but first we’ve got quite a lot of news to share.

Our summer of touring was wonderful, but it was also quite challenging. Being away from home and out of routine for weeks at a time, as some of you know, isn’t easy. It’s hard to eat well, sleep well, exercise, or feel grounded. Sometimes it even gets in the way of the creative process, which is what we’re in it for in the first place. With that in mind, Danielle has parted ways from the band, and we released our last collaborative single with her in September (Pretty Boy). For those of you who know Danielle, you know this is a very fitting send off! We love her so much, as does pretty much everyone she meets, and we miss her like crazy, but this is the best thing for everyone right now. Thank you so much for understanding and continuing to support all three of us—The Wilder Flower is still going strong, now dual-fronted by Molly and me! We’ve got a lot of new music headed your way in 2026, many of our absolute favorite songs, and we cannot wait for them to be out!

PS: listen to a playlist of Danielle’s songwriting here if you use Spotify!

You may also have noticed that we aren’t gigging at all this October or November, and we have a great reason why! Molly has started a 2-year Associate’s degree in Accounting at Tri-County Technical College, and she continues working as a bookkeeper for a construction company, making her very busy. I have just started a 2-year Master’s degree in Literature and Intellectual History at Oxford University, which is notably located overseas in England and therefore not close to any of our usual haunts. We are both excited if stressed about our studies and are focusing on writing and arranging during our semesters. We’re taking advantage of this downtime from shows to reimagine our TWF material and to continue reenergizing our set with new songs so you don’t get tired of us. Special shoutout and massive thank you to our mentor, and producer as of late, Jon Weisberger for lots of guidance and support in this process. You can also see him kindly playing bass in several of our Official Vids on our YouTube channel.

However, these two months with no shows are the longest Molly and I have been apart in over four years, and we had a cry before we said goodbye. We can’t go any longer than this without hanging out, and you know what that means: shows shows shows!! We hope to play any time we’re both free from school, in the states and potentially abroad, so keep checking our tour schedule if you want to see us live, and please keep us in the loop if you have a venue or town we should come to. We’ve got a handful of WNC shows in December and January, and we’re already starting to book for March!

That’s all we’ve got for now. Again, many many thanks to everyone for your continued support, listening ears, and reading eyeballs! Molly and I are so incredibly grateful to every one of you for caring about the sounds we make, and we hope to see you all soon.

With our very best and many (many) photos,

The Wilder Flower
